Agustin Padilla
Agustín Padilla is a Spanish cartoonist. His passion for comics began thanks to his older brother, a collector of superhero comics. Inspired by the fantastical worlds he found in those pages, Agustín began imitating the drawings with his own childlike sketches.
Determined to improve his skills, he enrolled in Málaga's San Telmo School of Art, where he continued to hone his craft. In 1998, he published his first work, a comic titled EXODUS, which garnered some attention and opened a few doors, although he only managed to get occasional freelance jobs.
In 2009, he had his first success with editors in the American comic book industry starting with G.I. JOE, a series he was particularly excited about, as the characters were childhood favorites of his.
He has since has worked on numerous high-profile projects for major U.S. publishers, including HULK, X-MEN, WOLVERINE, CAPTAIN AMERICA, BATMAN, SUPERMAN, THE FLASH, WONDER WOMAN, SUICIDE SQUAD, STAR TREK, TRANSFORMERS, BORDERLANDS, PREDATOR, and AVATAR.
